Impact in the last 3 years
DYA was established in Argentina in 2017, proposing labor and educational inclusion strategies for adolescents, and progressively transferred its experience on agricultural child labor and human trafficking for labor exploitation. Today, DYA in Argentina is recognized as an expert institution on these topics and a benchmark in promoting multi-stakeholder local management models.
NOEMÍ Project
DYA began operations in Argentina in 2016 with the NOEMÍ Project, focused on developing methodologies for educational and labor inclusion of vulnerable adolescents and young people aged 16 to 24.
PAR Project
In 2019, DYA launched the Responsible Agricultural Production (P.A.R.) project to prevent child labor in agricultural production in Tucumán, Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, and Misiones. Municipal intervention models and corporate due diligence systems were developed. Five Childcare Centers and 3 Youth Hubs for adolescents were established in Tucumán, and 8 Pedagogical and Technological Support Centers in Misiones.
ATLAS Project
In 2021, DYA implemented the ATLAS Project in the Province of Buenos Aires, focused on developing tools for the government to prevent human trafficking, especially of migrant women linked to the garment industry. Currently, DYA also conducts evaluations of development projects in the region and research on forced labor, trafficking, child labor, among other topics.
