During August 2026, as part of Project AURA, the first sessions of the Comprehensive Health component were held, focusing on strengthening knowledge, self-care practices, and tools that contribute to the physical and emotional well-being of participating women.

The sessions took place at DYA’s headquarters in Monte Sinaí, using participatory methodologies that encouraged dialogue, reflection, the exchange of experiences, and the creation of safe and trusting spaces among participants.

One of the topics addressed during the month was sexual and reproductive health. The session covered topics related to body awareness, basic anatomy of the female and male reproductive systems, the menstrual cycle, fertility, self-care, and the identification of warning signs requiring medical attention. Participants also had the opportunity to clarify questions, myths, and beliefs related to sexual and reproductive health, promoting access to clear and reliable information to support informed decision-making and personal health care.

A session was also held to reflect on the importance of mental health and well-being in everyday life. This space introduced participants to the concept of mental health from a holistic perspective, recognizing that emotional well-being is an essential part of health and is connected to how we feel, cope with everyday situations, relate to others, and seek support when needed. The session also promoted self-care and the importance of recognizing and expressing emotions, identifying situations that may affect our well-being, and strengthening personal resources and support networks.

As part of this approach to mental health and emotional well-being, the session “My Story, My Body and My Decisions: Choosing a Different Path” was also held, using a gender, human rights, and sisterhood approach. The session encouraged participants to reflect on their life experiences, personal strengths, and the resources that have helped them cope with different situations and challenges.

During this session, participants explored tools to identify how stress manifests in the body and to support emotional regulation. They also reflected on the strengths that have helped them move forward in difficult circumstances, recognizing resources such as perseverance, the ability to ask for help, set boundaries, seek information, learn, and start again.

The activities carried out throughout August contributed to a broader understanding of comprehensive health that connects physical care with mental health and emotional well-being, access to information, recognition of personal strengths, self-care, the development of support networks, and informed decision-making.

In this way, Project AURA continues to create spaces for connection, learning, and support that seek to strengthen the capacities of participating women, promoting their autonomy, well-being, and the development of their life projects.

Supporting your journey, strengthening your future.
