DYA Receives Health Ministry Accreditation

On June 17, 2025, a special ceremony was held at DYA's headquarters in Monte Sinaí (Guayaquil) to receive accreditation as an Adolescent-Friendly Health Services Space, granted by the Ministry of Public Health.

The event was attended by approximately 100 people, including Kleber Gavilanez from Norwegian Alliance Mission–Ecuador; Sara Mina, Vice-Principal of the Fiscomisional Educational Unit Francisco García Jiménez; leaders of the Community Health Network of Monte Sinaí; and adolescents from the Our Voices Table DYA.

Darvis Landinez and María Belén Mendieta, adolescent members of the Our Voices table, shared their testimonies about their growth in developing their leadership since joining DYA.

This accreditation strengthens the alliance with the Ministry of Public Health for comprehensive approach with children and adolescents, from access to health services to participation in adolescent clubs.

The event concluded with the presentation of the Ritmo Legendario music workshop, where adolescents performed unreleased songs from their first EP.
