Objective

To prevent child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking in the garment manufacturing industry in Buenos Aires, strengthening state capacities, designing coordination tools, and promoting the restoration of rights.

Problem Statement

High informality in the garment manufacturing industry, with recurring instances of child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking. High presence of migrant workers in precarious conditions, limited institutional coordination, and fragmented information systems.

Components and Activities

  • Design and implementation of a differentiated practice model (DMOP).
  • Training of officials and strengthening of information systems.
  • Rights promotion strategies for children and adolescents, migrants, and women.
  • Labor inclusion and entrepreneurship initiatives for rights restoration.
  • Pilot implementation of the information system with DOVIC for case monitoring.

Target Group

Children, migrant workers, and women in vulnerable situations in the garment industry in Buenos Aires.
